The most crucial factor is to realize that his manners is not his method of getting back at you for taking your leave. Distracting your puppy is always a good idea when you are leaving. When they are removed from this setting, they become stressed and often cry a lot when you first bring home a new puppy. Continue with all such tricks for sometime, until your puppy starts ignoring them. Finally, never, punish your dog or puppy for his behaviour, as this is not only totally unfair to him, but will only help to intensify his problems. The first week or so is hard for a little one. Certain dogs can live alone for some time without being depressed.
If a dog is left alone for most of the times, he will presume that he is neglected and will seek attention. The usual treatment is behavior modification therapy with the guidance of a canine behavior therapist or a dog trainer who is experienced in working with separation anxiety issues. Blankets or dirty laundry that smells like their favorite people can be helpful during the crate-training process. If your new puppy has developed separation anxiety, it is important to remain calm and remember that the condition is treatable but will take time and patience to overcome. Remember, even though the resulting behaviors of separation anxiety can be frustrating and in some cases expensive, do not punish your dog for the damage. If your puppy does encounter something which frightens him, the best thing to do is to be positive and encouraging.
Separation anxiety is primarily a condition, where in the animal develops an exaggerated fear or dislike of being isolated from its owner. They may develop anxiety if left alone. It is not intended to be a substitute for the advice of a qualified vet. If you have an anxious dog, trips out of the home should start with short trips. Using positive reinforcement with lots of praise and treats is the best way to earn your puppy's respect and trust as the bond between you begins to grow and strengthen. Lengthen the time gradually over a couple of weeks. Allow the dog longer periods of time in the crate with the door closed.
It's an all natural calming product you apply to food or treats. This situation is actually quite common, being experienced by a great deal of animal owners. A separation foreboding dog will pace, quiver, gasp and infrequently they get a real wild look in their eye. The exact same process that humans experience when enduring a new situation for the first time is also seen in animals, particularly dogs. Don't leave your dog all of the sudden for eight or more hours. If you know the right way to train your dog, than it will not be difficult to achieve success with your pet.
One of the most difficult behavior problems to address in dogs is separation anxiety. You may even play with the keys and bring it to the notice of the animal. In more severe cases of separation anxiety you may need to combine the above techniques with creating a safe place. Having your puppy crate trained allows you to include them when you have company, they do not have to be tied outside or locked in a room, they can comfortably relax in their crate but still feel included. I had been told of the puppy's springiness and his slightly uncontrolled hyper demeanor. Crates effectively become safe spaces for nervous dogs.
Loss of a family member, another pet, or a change in the regular routine. This could also help treat the dog separation anxiety condition. Leave a dog with separation anxiety issues alone and it will do any one of the following: barking or making a lot of noise, crying, digging, scratching on doors, urinating or defecating in uncontrolled places, and other abnormal behavior that exhibits distress. Even though a puppy hates it when you leave, there is actually no reason for their irritation in the matter. More than likely it will lead the dog into an intense panic attack, in which they could hurt themselves severely on the metal crates. A trip to a dog park, twice a week, is usually all that is needed to help a dog become more socialized with other canines.
